Jain

Vegetarian—no eggs, root vegetables, or bulbs: no garlic, onions, potatoes, or carrots.

What It Is

The Jain diet: vegetarian, egg-free, and excluding anything that grows underground (garlic, onion, potato, carrot, beetroot, fresh ginger), because uprooting it harms the entire plant and the living beings in the soil. Many Jains also avoid honey and do not eat after sunset.
